WKNO Channel 10, the local PBS affiliate, aired a one-hour special on the history of Baptist Memorial Hospital-Medical Center and the future of the property on Sunday, Nov. 6, the day the Medical Center patient towers was imploded.
The special began at 6 a.m. and featured live segments from the implosion site and interviews with Baptist employees who worked in the buildings.
The show also included pre-taped stories about the Medical Center’s history, the implosion of the original hospital building and physicians and surgeons building in May 2005 and the success of Tennessee’s first charter school, which is located in the 20 South Dudley building.
