Stephen C. Reynolds president and chief executive officer
Since 1994, Stephen C. Reynolds has served as president and CEO of Baptist Memorial Health Care. Under his guidance, Baptist has grown to become one of the largest not-for-profit health care systems in the United States and one of the top-rated integrated health care delivery systems in the country.
Reynolds holds a bachelor of science degree from Arkansas State University and a master’s degree in health administration from Washington University School of Medicine. He joined the Baptist family in 1971 as an administrative resident. At that time, Baptist consisted of the original hospital and a rehabilitation hospital. Since then, Reynolds has witnessed and been an integral part of Baptist’s tremendous growth.
A leader in the national health care community, Reynolds is a past chairman of the National Committee for Quality Health Care. He is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves as a board member of the Healthcare Research and Development Institute, VHA, Memphis Tomorrow, Ducks Unlimited and the University of Memphis Board of Visitors.

Robert S. Gordon executive vice president and chief administrative officer
Bob Gordon has served as executive vice president of Baptist Memorial Health Care since 1994 and was named chief administrative officer in 1998. He is responsible for overseeing critical support areas, such as information systems, human resources, strategic planning, corporate communications and the legal department. Gordon helped create Baptist Health Services Group, a provider-owned network that has grown to include more than 2,700 physicians, 49 hospitals and 160 ancillary facilities that serve the Mid-South.
Gordon holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Kentucky, Lexington and a master’s degree in health administration from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Soon after earning his master’s degree, he joined Baptist Memorial Health Care as an administrative resident. He went on to hold several hospital vice president positions, including chief operating officer of Baptist Medical Center and Baptist East, before being promoted to his current post.
Gordon has served two consecutive terms as chairman of the Tennessee Hospital Association. In 2001, he received THA's Distinguished Service Award.

David C. Hogan executive vice president and chief operating officer
As executive vice president and chief operating officer, David Hogan is responsible for the operations of the system's 15 hospitals, six medical clinics and home care agency.
In 1967, Hogan received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Memphis State University. He went on to earn a master’s degree in 1968. His Baptist career began as a personnel director in 1973 at Obion County General Hospital. In 1975, he became administrator of the hospital. Hogan joined the corporate leadership team in 1993 and assumed his current role in 1998.
In 2003, Hogan received the Meritorious Service Award from the Tennessee Hospital Association. The award honored his tremendous contributions to the health care industry during his 30-year career at Baptist. He is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and served as past-president of the Memphis Hospital Council.

Gregory M. Duckett senior vice president and corporate counsel
Since 1992, Greg Duckett has served as senior vice president and corporate counsel for Baptist Memorial Health Care. In this role, he has a number of responsibilities, including providing executive leadership, direction, guidance and assistance on legal and strategic matters related to Baptist and its subsidiaries and educating Baptist leadership on changes in the law. He also oversees risk management, risk financing, corporate compliance and government relations for Baptist Memorial Health Care.
Duckett serves as chairman of the Shelby County Election Commission and is a former hearing officer for the Tennessee Supreme Court’s Board of Professional Responsibility. In addition, he sits on the boards of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Memphis Branch; the Memphis College of Art; the National Civil Rights Museum and the Liberty Bowl Festival Association. He also is a board member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the Health Services Development Agency.

Scott Fountain senior vice president and chief development officer
Scott Fountain, senior vice president and chief development officer for Baptist, oversees the Baptist Memorial Health Care Foundation and is also responsible for the divisions of Corporate Communications and Community Outreach.
Committed to enhancing the quality of care in the Mid-South, the BMHC Foundation - the charitable arm of Baptist Memorial Health Care - supports advances in patient care, medical education and research for Baptist Memorial hospitals. Camp Good Grief, Memphis' first bereavement camp for children, is an original program funded by the BMHC Foundation. All of these services are provided free to the community. Additionally, the BMHC Foundation supports advanced technology and therapies at Baptist hospitals.
Fountain graduated from Iowa State University and has spent many years in development and institutional advancement. Before joining Baptist in 1994, he served as vice chancellor for development at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. He also has been involved in numerous civic organizations, including the Memphis Rotary Club, the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art board of directors, Leadership Memphis and the Memphis Leadership Academy.

Don Pounds senior vice president and chief financial officer
In his role as senior vice president and chief financial officer, Don Pounds is responsible for all areas of finance for the Baptist system, including treasury management, external and internal reporting, supply chain, reimbursement, tax, revenue cycle and general accounting. Since coming to Baptist in 1987, Pounds has served in a variety of roles, starting as controller at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County.
A graduate of the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Miss., Pounds earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He also is a member of the Health Care Financial Management Association.
