Learning Objectives

  • Examine screening and preventive measures for lung, colon, and HPV-related cancers.
  • Select intervention strategies for smoking cessation applicable to participant's patient population.
  • Interpret advanced care planning and its importance.
  • Differentiate between palliative care and hospice.
  • Distinguish the appropriate time for palliative care or hospice referral.

There is no charge to attend this educational activity. Physician participants can claim CME credits for a flat fee of $55-70. Payment is to be made upon completion of the post-activity evaluation.

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation, the Center for Education & Organizational Development, is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Tennessee Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
